*Filling up of vacancies by deputation (including short term contract)/absorption in the Office of the Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment

Applications are invited from suitable candidates working in the Central Government/State Government/Union Territory/ Public Sector Undertakings/ Autonomous Organizations for filling up of 01 anticipated vacancy in the post of Desk Officer by deputation/absorption, 01 existing vacancy in the post of Private Secretary by deputation/absorption, 04 (01 existing and 03 anticipated) vacancies in the post of Personal Assistant by deputation (including short term contract)/absorption, 01 short term vacancy upto 09.11.2012 in the post of Peon in the Office of the Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. A Sign Language Interpreter is also required on Short Term Contract basis.

The details of educational qualifications & experience required for the post, salary/remuneration, etc are given in Annexure-I. The deputation will be governed by the standard terms and conditions contained in the Department of Personnel & Training O.M. No. 2/22/91-Estt. (Pay-II) dated 05.01.1994 as amended from time to time and the provisions in the Recruitment Rules.

Applications from willing eligible candidates, on deputation basis, who can be relieved immediately on selection and are free from vigilance angle may be forwarded to the Office of Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Sarojini House, 6, Bhagwan Dass Road, New Delhi . 110 001 in the prescribed format as per Annexure-II through proper channel within 45 days from the date of publication of this advertisement alongwith attested copies of ACRs/APARs for the last 05 years and vigilance clearance as per proforma in Annexure-III. Application on contract basis should be made in the format as per Annexure-IV. Other things being equal, persons with disabilities will be given preference even if vacancy is not reserved for them.

One carry forward vacancy in the post of Personal Assistant is reserved for persons with locomotor disability, if filled on short term contract basis. The said reserved vacancy is due for interchange with persons with visual impairment and if suitable candidate with disability is not available, it will be filled by open category.

3Personal Assistant

(Pay Band . 2 of Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-)A Consolidated Remuneration of Rs. 13500/- per month (which may be revised upwards) in case of appointment on Short term contract basis.

    (i) (a) holding analogous post on regular basis; OR

    (b) With 3 years regular service in the post in the pay scale of Rs. 5000-8000 (pre-revised); OR

    (c) with 5 years regular service in the pay scale of Rs. 4000-6000 (Pre-revised) or equivalent, and possessing the following educational qualifications and experience.

    (ii) Essential:

    1. Graduate from a recognized University; and
    2. Speed of 100 words per minute in English/Hindi stenography
    3. Five years experience in stenography
    4. Knowledge of computer applications and data processing.

    Desirable:

    1. Knowledge of both Hindi and English stenography
    2. Experience of working in judicial/quasi-judicial organizations.
  • For short term contract

    Essential:

      Graduate from a recognized University; and
    1. Speed of 100 words per minute in English/Hindi stenography
    2. Five years experience in stenography
    3. Knowledge of computer applications and data processing.

    Desirable:

    1. Knowledge of both Hindi and English stenography
    2. Experience of working in judicial/quasi-judicial organizations.

4Peon

(Pay Band . 1 of Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 1800/-)

  • (A) By Transfer for a period upto 09.11.2012: Regular Safaiwalas, Farash or Chowkidar or those holding similar/equivalent posts in the Central Govt. who have rendered at least 05 year.s service in the cadre and possess elementary literacy and ability to read either Hindi or English.

    Note: As the vacancy has arisen due to deputation of the regular incumbent, the transferee will be relieved to his parent organization as and when the regular incumbent of the post returns from deputation or on 09.11.2012 whichever is earlier.

5Sign Language Interpreter (on short term contract)^M

A consolidated amount of Rs. 10,000/- per month will be paid.

  • Graduate in any discipline.

  • Should have passed Level .C. Sign Language Interpreter Course from RCI accredited Center.
  • Fluency in spoken English & Hindi
  • Note: Requirement of level .C. Sign Language Interpreter Course can be relaxed if a candidate otherwise has good knowledge/experience of Sign Language.

  • Note 1 : Period of deputation (including short- term contract) including the period of deputation (including short - term contract) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years. The maximum age limit for deputation should not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipts of applications.
